Yes, this is meant to work with the factory ECU. A crackle tune will work with a manual, as I drive stick and created the tune for my car. If you have the software (it's just a single package) and adaptor or the shop already has it, then yes, they can flash the tune. Take note that you will destroy your secondary cat in the mid-pipe if you run a crackle tune. If you want to add power though, go for it! That's definitely something you want the shop to do. Alternatively, you could install a pretuned ECU. I have a review for one of them on my Channel, but I know there's a couple of companies out there that have, or at least had, tune ECUs for the tC.

@@VampyreX13 You are a life saver to those who need it. Fortunately, I have the later-production WeaponR headers that have an O2 sensor placement that's close to OEM. But I appreciate you working with companies to create support for the TC2

The ECU fuel trims are reset when you unplug the battery for a few minutes.

It's been a while, but I think I got 18 ft-lbs from a Toyota shop manual I had access to at the time.

@@dadadadada4974 I've seen 13 ft-lbs mentioned a few times online, but I've always used 18 ft-lbs when I do mine without any issues.

2AR-FE seems to call for 18 ft-lbs, so you are probably right. I did 18 ft-lbs with no issues. I agree about the use of electrical tape on the socket. Good tip for people. Thanks!

@adamnardone2072 I had to have that replaced a while ago. That's when I started having the grinding issues going into 3rd gear.

@@VampyreX13 did replacing the bearing solve the problem for you? Im only at 90,000 km not sure if it's worth spending the money to have it replaced, seems like it can be a recurring problem

@@luiseduardomarquezjimenez3144 you do not need to update your stereo. Does the screen go black when you go into reverse, or does nothing happen at all?

@@VampyreX13 no, nothing happens, it stays in the main image, I have already tested the camera and connector and they work

@@luiseduardomarquezjimenez3144 So you have the red wire from the 24 pin harness connected to the power wire that goes all the way back to the camera? Maybe try connecting the ground as well. It's possible the camera might require it, though mine didn't.

@@pableezie6890 I haven't had any issues with my sunroof to date, so I haven't looked up the process of resetting it. I know I've seen people post about it in Facebook groups. If I find one of those posts, I'll let you know the solution.

@letjs you can get the aluminum strips at the major hardware stores, and I just simply bent it by hand with my vice.

@quentin1956 yes. The emblem is simply taped on. You can use some high tension fishing line and a heat gun to remove it, but I don't remember if there are any alignment pegs on the back of the emblem or not.

@VampyreX13 I should've made a more complete question as I left out a big part as I was sidetracked at the time , I had a mechanic install a lighted emblem but I want to replace it and am not sure how to

@@quentin1956 I don't exactly know how your emblem was installed, but you should be able to pop off that garnish to see how it's attached and wired.

@VampyreX13 ok...I was just worried the garnish was held on by bolts and not just the panel push pins

@@pableezie6890 have you changed your driving habits since you installed it, like accelerating a little bit faster or laying on the gas more? You should actually use a little less gas if it's sucking in warmer air because it's going to be less dense than cold air.

@VampyreX13 I put it in a few days ago but mayve it's too soon to tell I guess. I have punched the gas pedal a few times.

I've re-read your question a couple of times, and I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

It depends on the manufacturer and the type of clutch, but 500 is the general break n time. Some clutches (stock) are fine with only 300 miles.

@MalcomHeavy I read somewhere that the actual OEM fluid for the transmission is only available in Japan and hard to get ahold of, but Red Line works great as an alternative. Please post up your results once you change your fluid.

@VampyreX13 Will absolutely do. I'll post a video one I get the fluid and put some miles in with it. If you are interested, I'm currently editing a video on swapping seats while still retaining the factory rails. Should have it uploaded sometime tomorrow.

@mw3isbetterthanmw22 That's a little strange. While these only really last about two years, they should be working great within that period. I was able to easily keep up on the twisting backroads with the Subaru car clubs whenever going on cruises, and they kept my tC planted stable on the road.

@bigboy6969100 no, I haven't really looked to see what's out lately. I've only seen the eyelids, rear diffuser, and front and rear lips from them.
